Karen Gillum

After earning her degree from Philadelphia University, Karen Gillum spent the next 6 years in the retail sector working in the buying and analytics departments of Talbots, Staples, and Russell Corporation. Karen then switched gears and joined the accounting department at Atlantic Investment Company along with her sister, Kristen Mikan. In 2017, she and Kristen branched off on their own and started Summit Contract Accountants, LLC. Here, the two have found their niche serving FedEx Contractors and specializing in the trucking industry.

Kristen Mikan

Kristen Mikan, member of Summit Contract Accountants, has worked in the accounting field since 1995. She has served as a CFO since 2006 for an investment company in Atlanta. After finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Troy University, she began her career in public accounting as a supervisor in both audit and tax departments. With 20 years of experience, Kristen specializes in financial accounting for small businesses. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jeff Mikan

Jeff Mikan graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering. He began his work in the field of Service Development, System Testing, and End to End Architecture. In his 20 years at AT&T, he was granted over 180 patents covering Wireless Data Services. Jeff left AT&T to start a new venture with Summit Contract Accountants. He has created an Electronic Back Office (EBO) system that has streamlined trucking companies to higher efficiency in payroll, truck information, and reporting.
